“The need for Quantum Computers now seems inevitable owing to the loss of energy by the irreversibility (logical and physical) pertaining to classical computing. This lecture intends to take us through the journey starting from the concept of Shannon’s Entropy and Information, the idea of Bits and its relation with the heat loss in our everyday computing processes and ends with the idea of Qubits, basic quantum gates and their applications like the Deutsch Algorithm.”
